Systems in Transition: Human Resources

The Administrative Information Management System (AIMS) will replace many systems used in our day-to-day work upon the transition to a single software solution.

The Administrative Information Management System (AIMS) will replace many systems used in our day-to-day work upon the transition to a single software solution.

For Human Resources some of those systems are as follows:

  • VIP is a web-based Human Resources system used in the former Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region for managing tasks from “recruitment to retirement”
  • iHRIS is the central system used by health organizations across the province to provide many HR processes including payroll and benefits to 48,000 health sector employees
  • Workforce ESP is a scheduling and timekeeping software that integrates with iHRIS, used by most former regional health authorities
  • staffscheduling.ca is a software application used by the former Cypress and Saskatoon health regions

AIMS is an integrated system that provides a central source of information to support employees with a smooth transition should their careers take them elsewhere in the province. After AIMS has launched, VIP will remain online to ensure the new system is functioning as it should before being retired. The timing of the overlap is still being determined.
