What is AIMS?

The Administrative Information Management System (AIMS) project is a provincial health initiative to centralize and integrate up to 80 different health systems—some more than 50 years old—that support the health system in the areas of human resources (including payroll and staff scheduling), finance, and supply management. The system will modernize business processes and strengthen decision-making. This strategic initiative will directly affect more than 50,000 employees within organizations such as the Saskatchewan Health Authority, 3sHealth, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, eHealth Saskatchewan, SAHO, and other affiliates and partners. The implementation of AIMS was paused in 2022 to address issues with system performance and usability, as well as the way it was introduced into the health-care system. AIMS project employees can learn more about AIMS by logging into their MyConnection accounts.
